About focuspad.io

Hey — I'm Cameron, a data engineer who builds tools on weekends.

I made focuspad.io because I needed it. Studying for my data work meant juggling a Pomodoro timer in one tab, a notes app in another, a flashcard app on my phone, and ambient music on my laptop. Constantly context-switching between tools designed for different things.

So I put them all in one place.

focuspad.io is a single tool for focused work and study. A Pomodoro timer for working in intentional intervals. A notepad for capturing thoughts without breaking flow. An ambient sound mixer for steady background that doesn't pull attention. A spaced-repetition flashcard system for actually remembering what you study. All of it on one screen, designed to stay out of your way while you focus.

A few things I want you to know:

It's free and always will be. No ads, no accounts, no subscriptions, no upsells, no email capture. The only support is the occasional coffee from people who find it useful.

Your data stays on your device. Notes, flashcards, tasks, and study history are stored locally in your browser. I don't have a server holding your data — I literally cannot see your notes or your decks. This is a deliberate architectural choice, not just a marketing claim. If you ever stop using focuspad.io, your data goes with you (use the backup export feature to take it).

It's built by one person. That means iteration is slower than at a big company, but it also means the decisions get made by someone who actually uses the product daily. Every feature is something I wanted myself.

If focuspad.io is useful to you, that's the whole point. If you want to support continued development, you can grab me a coffee. Either way, I'm glad you're here.

— Cameron
